This seminar will address and provide important up-to-date information for restructuring and insolvency practitioners dealing with the complexities of tax compliance during business rescue and insolvency processes. Tax compliance and risks must be considered early in a restructuring and insolvency processes – doing so safeguards the interests of the distressed entity and the insolvent, and promotes a beneficial outcome for all stakeholders.
Navigating the intersection of tax and insolvency requires specialized knowledge. The aim of this seminar is to assist business rescue and insolvency practitioners in their day-to-day dealings with SARS. From handling SARS claims to understanding tax liabilities, appreciating the importance of tax compliance, we aim to bring you experts from SARS and demonstrate the tools designed to ensure tax compliance during business rescue and insolvency.
Mounting tax obligations amid the efforts of business rescue practitioners to restore the financial distress, and insolvency practitioners to wind-up an insolvent estate, are becoming a matter of serious concern. This can only be adequately addressed in a compliant environment.
We welcome SARS to this important and focused engagement. This is the first time that a senior component of SARS dedicated to specialised debt in business rescue and insolvency will present and make themselves available, on a one-on-one basis, so that you can learn better on the workings of SARS e-Filing and share your experiences and problems with all tax compliant matters. You will also have the opportunity to make proposals on the any improvements on eFiling and tax compliance matters.
This is an ideal opportunity to engage with the right people! SARS will make available its personnel to assist people with any technical issues around eFiling and compliance.
Places are limited. Please ensure you register early and that you do not miss this important opportunity to engage with an important stakeholder in business rescue and insolvency.
Best regards
