A complaint was made to the TMA by Antoinette Murray against Thomas Samons.
On Thursday 12 October 2017 the TMA's Disciplinary Committee published its findings.
Mr Samons was found guilty on various charges and the sentence imposed was a R10 000 fine and a three month suspension.
In accordance with the finding, the TMA Board recommends that Mr Samons should not receive any further appointments as a business rescue practitioner for the duration of the suspension (ie. until 12 January 2018).

Thomas Samons fined and expelled as a member of the TMA-SA
Mr Samons lodged an appeal against the finding of the Disciplinary Committee. The appeal was determined by the Appeal Committee and its findings published to the parties on 15 January 2018. The verdict of the Appeal Committee was to expel Mr Samons from the TMA and to impose a R10 000 fine on him.
