18 – 20 February 2014 – Number capped at 30 participants/course


This three day experiential workshop aims at exposing participants to rescue situations and decision making to drive the turnaround process. Extensive coverage is given to operations, marketing, sales, HR, strategy, management during a rescue. The focus is decision making and reflecting on the results of the decisions made. Through simulation and group work, two/three facilitator/mentors support and enable experiential learning. Deliberately no legal focus in this course.

To equip students with knowledge on the implementation of business rescue proceedings.

To explain and apply practically the provisions of the Companies Act of 2008 and other relevant laws regulating or applicable to
business rescue proceedings, including the appointment and functions of a business rescue practitioner.

The online course is a joint initiative between the Law Society of South Africa (LSSA) and the University of South Africa (UNISA).  Registration and execution are channelled LEAD.
