Background and experience

Pierre spent the last three and a half years as Group Chief Financial Officer for a Multinational Agricultural Commodity Group ("the Group").  He was based in Johannesburg although the holding company was registered in Mauritius and was responsible for operations in Uganda, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia and South Africa.

Prior to this he spent ten years as an investment banker (in Corporate Finance) having spent the last five years of that period with HSBC.  During this time he advised on a number of mergers and acquisitions and privatisations both locally and abroad in the Telecoms, IT, agriculture and chemical industries.

Prior to this Pierre advised on structured lending as part of a team at a large accounting firm.
