Background and experience
Mike’s consulting focus is operational and business process performance improvement across the business value chain.
He has consulting experience in business process reengineering and organisational change management, undertaking projects for clients in supply chain, procurement, project management and operational improvement projects.
He has worked on a number of large projects with Competitive Capabilities International (CCI) and Gemini Consulting in South Africa, Namibia and independently, in India.
Mike is an independent management consultant with over 8 years consulting experience, providing knowledge, expertise and project management in the disciplines of operational performance improvement, business process reengineering and supply chain management.
He is a business partner to a number of well established management consulting practices. Currently Mike is working with a large parastatal utility company, building on previous work undertaken, in the further development of the Project Development process and the definition of the project document and information management process and framework.
Recent projects include: Developing and refining a supply chain and sales and operations planning process for the country office of an international pharmaceutical company in Dubai I the UAE.
Developing and implementing a comprehensive project lifecycle model and process, project office framework and “visual project” model and project management capability plan for a large parastatal utility.
He has worked with a cellular company to design and develop a centralised procurement and contracting infrastructure model as part of the Core Management Group, to improve procurement and contracting efficiencies across the Group.
In 2002 Mike worked with a Namibian telephone operator to reengineer and refine the business processes for telephone network installation and maintenance, achieving a 77% improvement in the time taken to install or repair a telephone service.
