Background and experience
Matsotso is a qualified Chartered Accountant presently employed by Corporate Renewal Solutions as Financial Director.
Prior to joining Corporate Renewal Partners, she was an Executive Director at Manase and Associates Chartered Accountants. At Manase, her responsibility includes managing projects in audit, profit improvements, forensic and special projects.
Prior to that she was at the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), where she was involved in restructuring of businesses in distress and maximising the recovery of IDC’s exposure where financial failure/ liquidation of a client proves to be unavoidable.
Her portfolio included clients from numerous industries including Tourism, Mining and Wood, Paper and other. Her experience at the IDC included performing due diligences, deal origination and structuring of equity and loan transactions within the Tourism sectors.
Prior to joining the IDC, she was responsible for the IT audit of SAA. She commenced her IT Audit career with KPMG’s Johannesburg Office where she was also seconded to a small audit practice, KMMT Incorporated to set up their IT Audit division. She served her audit articles at Coopers & Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse Coopers) were she was exposed to companies operating within the manufacturing, retail, property and financial services sector.
Matsotso is also a trustee (non-remunerated) of Siyabhabha National Trust (a development agency of the Catholic Church).
