As CEO of Corporate Renewal Solutions I have 26 years' experience in corporate renewal, ranging from management consulting to business transformation to turnaround management.
In my turnaround practitioner career I served as both senior accountable executive and in advisory positions in numerous turnaround situations in a variety of industries ranging from the public sector, to private sector clients as large as R5bn turnover.
I have wide experience in devising and implementing leadership, strategy, financial, organisational and operational solutions.
I regularly write articles, present at conferences, participate in panel discussions and do guest lecturing at business school on the topics of corporate renewal, business transformation, turnaround and business rescue.
In 2004 I initiated what was eventually named the Task Group for Organising the Turnaround and Business Rescue Industries, which included 100 representatives from various stakeholder groups in industry in its Work Group and Advisory Group.

I am currently the Director: Certification, and previously served as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, as well as Director: Informatics.
I have a keen interest in new business rescue legislation, which are analysed in depth on the CRS Business Rescue web site of Corporate Renewal Solutions. Additionally, I'm the author of the comments of TMA-SA on Chapter 6 (Business Rescue) of the 2007 and 2008 versions of the Companies Bill.
Having been a member of the Chicago Chapter of TMA, I realised the tremendous benefits that TMA could bring to the restoration of corporate value in South Africa. As a result, I brought turnaround industry participants together to form TMA-SA.
I am a member of TMA-SA because I believe in its benefits of turnaround networking, knowledge, education and promotion.
Personally, in my capacity as Director: Certification of the organisation, I have a personal interest in establishing the Certified Turnaround Professional qualification in South Africa, contributing to the effective formulation and implementation of new business rescue legislation, and finding ways for government and TMA-SA to work together to save businesses and preserve jobs.
