Purpose of the TMA-SA Forums
The purpose of the forums is:
- To serve as a discussion forum for all those interested in the disciplines and industries of turnaround, business rescue, business transformation and corporate renewal - industry and professional associations, turnaround and insolvency practitioners, management consultants, banks, investors, lawyers, government, judiciary and academics.
- Ongoing information exchange and building of a body of knowledge that is shared by all forum members.
The TMA-SA Forums are open to all
You are welcome to register as a forum member if you are interested in the disciplines and industries of turnaround, business rescue, business transformation and corporate renewal.
Anybody can register - you don't need to belong to an association or professional body. Simply click on the "Register" icon at the top of the page for a simple registration process that will enable you to access the forums. There is no charge.
Who should be interested in registering?
- Service providers to underperforming and distressed companies - turnaround and insolvency practitioners, management consultants, lawyers, accountants, etc.
- Lenders to distressed companies - banks.
- Investors in distressed companies - private equity investors.
- Labour unions and employee organisations.
- Government and judiciary.
- Academics / faculty and students.
- Members of industry associations and professional bodies.
Members of the The Turnaround Management Association - Southern Africa (TMA-SA) are preregistered as members of the forums.
What can be discussed in the TMA-SA forums?
The board of forums has 4 categories:
- (1) About the TMA-SA forums (open to all).
- (2) Public forums (open to all).
- (3) TMA-SA member forums (closed forums for TMA-SA members).
- (4) Business rescue legislation: General discussion.
How to participate
How to partipate in the forums
- When in a forum or topic, post a new topic by clicking on "New Topic".
- When in a topic, reply to the topic by clicking on "Post Reply".
How to communicate with others members

Email and private messages
- Click on the Memberlist at the top of the page. From there you can send an email or a Private Message to any of the members listed.

Online chat
- If you want to chat directly to a member that is online, click on "Online Chat" at the top of the page.
- A new page will open where members can chat with each other in an open room.
- To enter the chat, use the same username and password you use for the forums.
- Users can chat privately by creating private chat rooms.
- Online chat can save a lot of email and telephone talk time, and one can even hold online meetings in there!
